Shadows of a Silhouette are an alternative rock band hailing from Alfreton, Derbyshire. With raw energy and an unmistakable sound, they have just finished crafting their debut LP, "For Those That Know..." which promises to leave an indelible mark on the current Alternative scene. Drawing influence from the heavyweights of grunge and rock, their music is a dynamic blend of gritty guitars, thunderous drums, and emotionally charged vocals.
Having recently completed the recording of their highly anticipated debut album at the legendary Motor Museum in Liverpool, the band worked with acclaimed producer Al Groves, known for his work with iconic acts such as Cast and Bring Me the Horizon. The partnership with Groves has helped the band refine their sound, creating an album that effortlessly bridges the past and present of alternative rock, but also looks to shape the future of the Alternative scene.
Shadows of a Silhouette’s sound is a reflection of their roots—gritty, raw, and unapologetically bold. With their debut LP set to drop soon, the band is ready to take their electrifying blend of grunge, rock, and everything in between to the stage. With Nathan Brown on lead vocals, Reece Carter on guitar, William Scott on bass, and Tyler Henderson on drums, the band’s distinctive style is deeply rooted in their Derbyshire background, infusing their music with authentic narratives that resonate with listeners. Shadows of a Silhouette has cultivated a loyal following by reflecting the realities of working-class life, and each new release builds on that foundation.
With each performance, Shadows of a Silhouette has expanded their reach, gaining acclaim from BBC Introducing East Midlands, Derby Telegraph, and RGM. Known for packing venues like The Bodega and Rough Trade in Nottingham and Camden’s Fiddler’s Elbow, they recently took to the main stage at Y Not Festival 2023 and returned in 2024 to headline the Hog and Barrel stage on the Saturday night of the festival. These live shows—characterized by their electric atmosphere and immersive, high-energy performances—have further cemented their place in the UK’s alt-rock scene, attracting fans drawn to the band's sincerity and passion.
